PUBLIC POLICY LEADERSHIP

SAFENOWPROJECT supports legislation focused on enhanced prevention education and services provided through healthcare, education, pro-active business and organizational practices, as well as law enforcement collaborations. 

We support public policy efforts that contributes to the following:

Improvements in information sharing for crime prevention and response;

An increase in quality services to victims and their families;

A public health approach to child sexual abuse prevention that targets awareness of the problem and solutions, life skills development to make children less vulnerable and evaluation and early intervention to persons who are at-risk of abusing;

Professional development and collaboration within the criminal and legal systems; and

Increased offender accountability through effective sex offender management and monitoring.
